Qwant search engine (secure data protection+)

Qwant was launched in France in February 2013, after two years of research and development. The search engine, which is now European, continues to grow and innovate, and the whole Qwant team is proud to present the new version which includes:

A modern and clutter-free design
A layout created with the user experience in mind
New, more extensive search functions
An interface adapted for mobiles and tablets

However, this version hasn’t forgotten the basic principles on which Qwant was founded. In fact, our search engine doesn’t track its users and doesn’t filter web content. We promise to respect users' privacy, whilst also guaranteeing a secure environment and relevant results. So, when you create a Qwant account, we collect the minimum of information necessary for access to all our services, putting "data minimisation" into practice. On that note, we invite you to create an account in order to enjoy advanced functions, such as boards and bookmarks, or simply to save your Qwant settings more easily.

NB: This version offers you the chance to give your feedback. As the best judges, you will be able to give us your opinions and flag up any issues, or put forward suggestions for improvement via the feedback button at the bottom right of each page. More than ever, your opinion counts!

How does link shortening work?Links shared on Twitter, including links shared in Direct Messages, will automatically be processed and shortened to an http://t.co link. Learn how to shorten links here. Please note: anyone with a t.co shortened link will be able to navigate to the destination URL.
Why does Twitter have its own link shortener?

Shortened links allow you to share long URLs in a Tweet while maintaining the maximum number of characters for your message.
Our link service measures information such as how many times a link has been clicked, which is an important quality signal in determining how relevant and interesting each Tweet is when compared to similar Tweets.
Having a link shortener protects users from malicious sites that engage in spreading malware, phishing attacks, and other harmful activity. A link converted by Twitter’s link service is checked against a list of potentially dangerous sites. Users are warned with the error message below when clicking on potentially harmful URLs.
